Here's hoping 3rd time's the charm...I had this post almost finished late last night, 'til my bloggar program froze up & I lost everything, and I'll be darn if it didn't do it again to me today! ACK!
Why the "WOOHOO!", you ask? Just been blessed lately is all! First, let me brag a bit and sayI am so jazzed by this, I know it's small, but it's a step in the right direction! Been drinking less
and more
, taking those Green Tea Liqui-Gelcaps, and eatting less(those gelcaps really curb my appetite!). 3 customers at work this past week have mentioned they could tell I was losing weight...that's such wonderful motivation!! (If you haven't seen the F-A-T picture of me on my earlier post, GOOD!
I was feeling rather mortified that I shared it once it was uploaded & too late!
Hate to go from talking about weight-loss to talking about eatting, but man, oh, man! I had the best food Friday night, I just have to share! My parent's are in the process of moving, yet their house hasn't sold yet, so they have TWO yards to keep mowed, and my dad's health hasn't been exactly the best lately, so Joe mowed both lawns for them this week. They tried to pay him, but he refused, and just mentioned if they'd like, they could take us out to eat some time. So Friday they took us to "El Napal", a wonderful Mexican restaurant in Adairsville. The closest I've ever come to Mexican food is Taco Bell, so I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but
this was soooooooo tasty!! The servings were HUGE, Joe & I split an order of Chicken Fajitas and still had leftovers! They came unassembled, with the chicken & veggies served on a sizzling platter, with all the fixings on the side, and lucky for me I don't like sour cream or guaccamole, so I was pretty much ok.....well, I did stuff my face with chips & salsa while waiting on dinner to arrive! *blush*
It was great, already looking forward to going back sometime next month! Then we went to my folks new home to see the hardwood floors they just had installed, then came home to watch "Ice Princess", which was really cute! (The night before, we had watched "Man of the House", with Tommy Lee Jones.....it was hilarious!! Ah, every weekend I am reminded how lucky I am to be working at a video rental store, getting those early sneek-peeks!) Last night (Saturday) I stayed up until everyone else was in bed, then watched "Constantine" with Keanu Reeves....it was the bomb!!!! I had been looking forward to that for a loooooong time! Tonight it'll be "Urban Legends: Bloody Mary"--another one I'll be watching solo, since it's too scary for the girls, and horror isn't Joe's thing!
Speaking of Joe mowing lawns, while he was doing my parent's old yard, their neighbor, whose husband passed away last year, asked if she could hire Joe to cut her yard, too....and with Joe's dad still out of commission from having had both knees replaced recently, THEIR lawn needed mowing too (in Acworth), so it was 2 yards for Joe Wednesday, and 2 yards Thursday...poor fella' he was on vacation all this week, yet stayed pretty busy! Plus, with me not being able to get any time off from work, it wouldn't have mattered anyway, since we couldn't go anywhere
K, reason #2 why I'm all smiles?? I just found out my parents aren't leaving their hot tub at the new house, yet weren't planning to take it with them either, so they asked if we were interested in getting it.So as soon as we get the back porch re-inforced, and find someone to wire it up for us, we will be 'living large' in a 4-person hot tub!!
Yet another reason for me to get my body bathing suit ready!
Taking Camryn to get shots tomorrow morning, school will be starting in just 3 weeks and gotta get everything (and everyone) ready! The girls have been used to sleeping as late as they want, usually 'til 9 or later each morning, so it's gonna be a shock to us all to have to start getting up around 6:30....this will be the first year I've had to take both girls to school 5 days a week, and wouldn't ya' know, it'll be at two different schools, so I'm praying traffic isn't so bad that we'll wind up having to get up earlier than that!Cam will be entering Pre-K, while Leah will be in
Alrighty then, Joe is out there sweating to death mowing(our yard this time *LOL*), so I should carry a drink out to him, then start so dinner.

Geez, this weekend I don't know what flew by faster...the time or the money! LOL! Joe started his vacation Saturday, and with a bang, too....we went to sign papers on a new truck for him that morning!!! Yep, my dream of moving will have to wait for a few more years, but hey, it just wasn't working out now anyway, so I was more than happy for Joe when he lucked up on a good deal...his ol' 1992 Ford F150 was a major gas-guzzler, and a wee-bit outdated ;) so when he found a 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4-door, it was just what he had been looking for. After signing papers for it, we drove off to Burger King
to grab some lunch thru the drive-thru, then headed to Cumming, GA (about 60-90 minutes south of us) to visit Keystone Kennel, where they breed the sweetest lil' minature dachshunds!
We looked at 2 simply adorable puppies, each 17 weeks old, and each reduced to $300, but especially since we just dropped some big bucks on the new truck, we couldn't justify spending that much on a doggie :( so maybe sometime in the future, who knows? We were rather late coming home, and not wanting to have to stop by the store to pick up some groceries and then still have to cook it ;) we drove to Steak 'n' Shake and had a delicious dinner! *YUM*
Today was just as busy....since I'm not getting a vacation while Joe is *sigh*, we weren't going to be able to celebrate Leah's birthday
on Monday, July 11th (which is when she turns 9!), so we all went to Town Center Mall in Kennesaw, GA to the Build-A-Bear Workshop today! I felt like a kid myself in there...it was the first time for all of us, and what fun!!!! Leah got the "Mocha Bunny" with 4 outfits, including PJ's ;) and Camryn got the "Floppy Kitty", with an outfit, PJ's, and even ice cream! It was so much fun to see the sparkle in their eyes when they got to pick out their favs, and actually help stuff them and 'bath' them, then pick out cutesie clothes! Then the girls thought it would be fun to go up & down the escalators *ROFLMBO* and our last stop at the mall was the Sweet Factory, where we spent *GULP* $15 on less than a pound & a half of assorted candies! *ACK*
Well, seeing as how we hadn't blown enough money yet (yeah, right!) we headed to my FAV.....Olive Garden! *swoon* But since I'm on those Green Tea gelcaps and have noticed a significant drop in my appetite, I only had an appetizer instead of an entree, and a bit of salad and 2 bread sticks....I mean, come on, those things are darn good, I could usually eat a whole basket of 'em! LOL! While we were eatting, Joe's dad called my cellphone to ask if we could come by and let Joe fix a leak in his roof. Keep in mind it was pouring rain, and the area was under a tornado watch!!
so I was inside freaking out about him being on the roof the whole time we were there! Everything went fine, though, and then we finally got to come home & crash! Speaking of, I REALLY have to get in bed, seeing as how it's now 1:30 am, and I have work tomorrow! *waaah*
, and big huggles!

I can't believe I'm still awake...I am so tired, been up with Leah who was complaining her tummy hurt before I put her to bed-she was convinced she was gonna throw up :*(
Luckily, after taking some "Lil' Tummies" medicine and snuggling with mommy ;) she felt well enough to go to bed. Anyway, wanted to share the link to this News story I just read about a man who went from weighing 1,072 pounds *gasp* to now only 499 pounds--in one year's time!!
Man, if this guy can do it, I should quit my whining & lose the 30+ pounds I need to shed!! I actually did buy some Liquid-Gel Green Tea gelcaps...supposed to be a great fat-burner. Here's an excerpt from the back of the box:
"Liquid gel caps allow nutrients to be quickly absorbed up to 200% better than the dry tablets or capsules. The Liquid-Gel Green Tea Fat Burner is a powerful blend of natural herbal boosters and nutrients that, when used with a heathly diet plan, has a dual action effect pm weight loss which helps you: *Curb appetite and *Kick-start & speed up your fat burning ability(thermogenesis)"
Cool, huh? If only it's as easy as it sounds! LOL! Plus, I plan to be more active--I even bought a Curves pedometer to help me see how active(or not active) I've been =) And let's not mention that Tae-Bo DVD that's still sitting here, unopened, since Christmas! :-\ Gotta get my tush in gear before I get any more comfortable with my round belly! Some may think at 5 foot 7 inches and 167 pounds that it's not as bad as I make it sound, so *gulp* I'm gonna do something I'm sure to regret, and *gulp again* share one of my most embarrassing pictures (in the hopes of my embarrassment spurring me into action!) Now, this was taken 14 months ago, and though it looks like it, I was NOT pregnant! I've had more than one person ask, let me tell ya, it's humiliating! It'd be different if my weight spread out where I looked fat all over, but my arms (at least from the elbow down) and legs(well, ok, from the knee down) aren't big at all. And my face has gotten so round it's almost 'jolly' like Santa! ROFL! Ok, enough nervous babble and stalling..........here it is:
Alrighty then....on that red-faced note, I'm going to bed! Sweet dreams--if you can still have those after seeing my picture! LOL! ~Hugs~
