Feeling: Easter-y
Eatting: Hershy's Special Dark bar...yum!!
Reading: "The Taking" by Dean Koontz
Weather: Sunny 78 degrees

She lives! LOL! Life has still been moving at the speed of light, with nary a moment to spare for internet play, but thought I'd snag a chance to "hop" on over and wish everyone a wonderful, blessing-filled Easter weekend! =) Believe it or not, I'm STILL transferring stuff over from the old computer, and trying to organize things on this one ;), plus learn my way around this new operating system. And wow, what a difference this new HUGE flat screen makes!!! I mean, I love it, but geez, everything looks teeny-tiny, and holy cow, seeing my website at this 1280x1024 setting, it's like looking at a postage stamp on a big piece of poster board! ROFLMBO! Just trying to type this now, I'm gettting eyestrain!

Let's see, what's new on the homefront? Well, with both girls now playing soccer, that equals 2 practices every week, and THREE games every Saturday....Camryn's (my 4 yr. old) last about 45 min., with a break between quarters and half time, and Leah's(age 8) are split into 2 half-games....each breaking down into 12 minutes of play, 3 minute half-time, and another 12 minutes, with usually only an hour between the start of Leah's first game and the start of her second one---so basically we've been spending 3+ hours each Saturday @ the soccer fields! Last weekend that totally stank, since it was soooo cold, but today was super-nice, sun was shining, and the temps were in the mid to high 70's, with a nice breeze! Got to work on my tan naturally today instead of resorting to the tanning beds at work ;) Both girls played great, and between the 3 games, only 1 was lost =)

Leah pulled her own tooth at school this week....I couldn't believe it!!! She also got an amazingly fantastic surprise Thursday: my neighbor saw that her boss was fixing to haul a TON of beautiful girls clothes(all Leah's size) off to VAC, and asked instead if she could bring them to us. This was such a blessing, as Leah has just about outgrown everything she has, and sure, we could afford to buy her some new outfits, but nothing like all this! In the 4 HUGE garbage bags were gorgeous dresses, matched outfits, pajamas, stuffed animals, a butterfly rug(we're redoing Leah's room in butterflies!!), and cute cheer shorts, skirts, and tee-shirts. Everything was well-cared for, and some even still had tags on them! Leah was absolutely estatic!!!

I'm sure I've forgotten a bunch of stuff to blog about, but it's been a loooong week and a tiring day, so think I'll sneak off to try to grab a nap ;) Thanks to all you sweeties for your Easter/spring cards and wishes, you're all the best! (Wendi? Oh, Wendi? Where ya' at? ;) I've been logged onto Trillian since I started this post, hopping to chat w/you! *sniffle* Miss ya!)

You're Invited to a Pity Party!

If you have any cheese, you may want to go get it....I hear it goes well with wine whine ;) *sigh*
Where should I start? Hmmm, well, Camryn missed her first soccer game Saturday 'cause she woke up with a
fever of 102.9, with red streaks in her throat, and complaining her tummy hurt "wheely bad". Bad mommie that
I am, I drug her out to Leah's first game of the day, but decided to send Joe & Leah without us for the 2nd one
that was just 2 hours later. Well, after that first game, since Joe's parents were here (from Acworth, GA) and my
brother was also here visiting (from Savannah, GA), we wanted to take them by the "new house" that we have a
contract on...even though it was locked up, we wanted them all to be able to see it. Imagine my surprise to pull up
in the drive to find a realtor there, and right behind us, the couple she was showing the house to!! It may not have
been the wisest decision, but we waited outside for them to leave so that our families could walk around outside
and see what they could...and when the couple came out, we overheard them talking about making an offer on it!

K, now I know I'm flip-flopping here, but bare with me ;) The next day (Sunday) Camryn was worse, fever came &
went with us dosing her with Tylenol/Advil...she wanted nothing but to snuggle with me & suck her thumb all day (who
can blame her? LOL!) By the middle of the night Sunday, JOE was getting it--he woke me up asking if it was cold in
here, that he was freezing. During the day, he progressed to fever and coughing, and come Monday morning, he could
barely get out of bed, so it was no work for him. (And no sleep for me, between him coughing all night and Camryn
getting in bed with us). Luckily, by today, Camryn was feeling well enough to go to preschool, and Joe was already
scheduled to be off for the day. But guess who's turn it is now? I've had a cough that has gotten worse all day, that
I am describing like this: ya' know when you need to puke, but all you do is dry heave? Well, my coughs are kinda' like
that, I'm not rattling or anything, but can't stop coughing...it makes my head & chest hurt from all the coughing! ACK!

Well, back to the house....just an hour or so ago, our realtor calls, and drops the bomb....the elderly couple who were
looking at it Saturday made "an acceptable offer" and put a contract on it that WASN'T contingent on their house
selling, as ours was. So basically, we're screwed! I mean, we'll get our $500 earnest money back, but we REALLY
had our hearts set on that house, and haven't found any others we like nearly as much, so it looks like (unless we get
a miracle) we'll be removing our home from the market & staying put! I am beyond depressed *sigh*

One bright note...after much stress on my end, having been put in charge of planning everything for my parent's 50th
anniversary( I shouldn't sound that way, but it FELT like I was doing all the calling and deciding and such), we wound
up having a great night...my brother, 2 sisters and I took them out to eat at Olive Garden, and then surprised them with
a romantic overnight stay (Sunday night) in a Victorian railcar at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo in Tennessee, complete
with a long-stemmed rose, champagne, chocolates, and breakfast the next day. They didn't need much extravagance, as
they are leaving in 2 days to go on a 12 day cruise to the Caribean(sp?)!!!

Alright, spaghetti's getting cold, my hand is getting tired, and my headache is getting worse, so I'm outta here...thanks
for reading this far & putting up with my complaining! (((((((((hugs my buds))))))))))

Feeling: spoiled rotten | Reading: Dean Koontz's Frankenstein | Eatting: peanut m&m's

Ok, it's just not in my nature to do things on time ;) so here on Friday is my Monday Madness *LOL*
1. What time is it right now? 10:35 pm
2. What are you usually doing at this time on any given day? reading/watching t.v.
3. Is there a day of the week that time seems to fly by faster than the other days? Sunday
4. If you could make ONE hour of each day twice as long, which hour of the day would you choose? 5am(so I could have an extra hour of sleep) ;)
5. If you could make one DAY of the week twice as long, which day would you choose? Saturday =)
6. If you could make one hour and/or one day HALF as long, which time of the day, and which day of the week would you choose? hour=5pm(since I usually get off @ 6pm) and day=Tuesdays(that's my day to work a full shift!)
7. Do you agree with the following statement? "The older you get, the faster time goes by." MOST DEFINATELY!!
8. What do you usually do during your "down time?" What downtime? LOL! Nah, either read, watch t.v., or compute.
9. What one thing do you spend more time doing each day than anything else? rushing *hee-hee* well, maybe working......at least, it seems like it ;)

Wowzers, I don't deserve all that, ladies! LOL! Thankies from the bottom of my heart! *SMOOCHES* (and if I forgot anyone's gifts, please forgive me...my brain's too fuzzy from lack of sleep ;)
Well, Camryn's first ever soccer game is tomorrow @ 10am, followed by Leah's first games of the season @ 12 noon AND 2pm......then me, my brother, and both my sisters are taking my parents out to Olive Garden to celebrate their 50 anniversary! We also chipped in to get them a romantic overnight stay for 2 at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, where they'll sleep in a restored Victorian railroad car, and be treated to chocolates, champagne, and roses! Yes, I know I'm jumping from topic to topic *giggle* but on a final note, our home was listed as the featured home of the week in our local newspaper, and the realtor says they've gotten alot of calls about our house, so I imagine we'll be getting more calls from potential buyers *crosses fingers* Such excitement around here! ;) K, y'all sleep well! Sheesh, I started this entry nearly an hour ago! Hushing now *zip*
