The weather is:and I am:
and
A quickie before I curl up in bed.....we're still working like mad to get our home ready for sale(have already shown it to the realtors) and trying to make arrangements to put a contract on the new house(I'll take some outside pics of it before long!), and have been helping fill in the hours @ work since we had one of our better workers quit, so time online, which is normally not much to begin with, has been next to zero lately *sigh* Plus Camryn is sick had to carry her to the doctor Friday, and she'll be on antibiotics for the next 10 days, plus meds for her congestion. Thank goodness the fever has gone(it was 102.8 Wednesday nite!!!). Speaking of meds, we're treating Sniffy too(our doggie)...she went to the vet Thursday, and has an ear infection(and had had a fever also). When it rains, it pours, huh? ;)
My parent's will be celebrating their 50th anniversary in March, and my sisters & I are clueless about what to plan!! Anyone with suggestions? Well, I didn't mean to end so abruptly, but I'm super-duper tired, so I'm gonna leave ya with these sneak-peeks of the new looks to come soon, and wish you all a wonderful evening...stay warm & be well!
*face-lift for my main site...still a work in progress*
*blog re-do is coming along too, more slowly tho'*

Reading: "Winter Moon" by Dean Koontz
Craving:Looking forward to: Wednesday night's episodes of "Lost" and "Alias"
Just a quickie so I can say I posted! LOL! I guess I spoke to soon...last night Joe & I were talking, and I said how lucky we were to have been around so much sickness(Leah's strep, Camryn's cold, Joe's nephew's "pukey bug") and not caught anything. Weeeeeeel, this morning I felt MUCH differently *sigh* My throat hurts, I've been sneezing alot, my nose feels like it's on fire inside, and I've got a totally unrelated health issue going on in a different region of my body...I won't go into details(I'd DIE of embarrassment),but for sure it alone will require a trip to the doctor. Sheesh, why is it half the time I blog, it's about someone or another being sick? ROFLOL!!!
Christmas was good, but am I ever glad it's over! 'Tis the season to be stressing, and rushing, and spending, spending, spending! ;) Both Joe & my mom had birthdays in December, and my dad & one of my sisters have Janurary b~days, so I'm still shopping! Speaking of which, on our way home from Cracker Barrell this morning, we passed by a thrift store and what do you suppose we saw sitting outsideIt was THE scooter we had searched for all last month
![]()
So now we're a 4-scooter family, with a few swaps: Joe's riding Leah's, I'm riding Joe's, and Leah got the new one! *giggle* I'll take a pic tomorrow to upload...it's got the bigger, bicycle-like tires, front hand breaks, and a kick-stand.
I have some SERIOUS updating to do to my whole site-and we all know how slow I am about that-but bit by bit I'm gonna get on it 'til it gets done! My blog is gonna get a new look, and I'm going to try to consolidate my homesite where most pages will open in an iframe, so everything is centralized, except of course for my blog and my Adoption Garden, which will still be separate. Lisa surprised me with the adorable new Valentine's Day set from Electrik Garden
(sweetness!), plus she gifted me with two darling siggies:
(Too cute, huh? I'm such a siggy-piggy!)
Well, I got off track.....back to updating....my member's area(Adoptions) will get a new look, and four pages have been badly neglected:
My Family, My Gifts, My Sigtags, and My Memberships, so those will all get face-lifts too, I hope! I recently joined My Pretty Pixels, and
simply cannot wait to start using some of Donna's lineart and tutorials!!! Which means, MAYBE, soon I can get my Pixel Heaven up & running!
Flab2Fab never got off the ground, and probably never will, and I no longer participate in Darylynn's Homework, so those will be disappearing.
I've been making new friends in the Angelic Country Friends group =) and really enjoyed being Trish's buddy for the month of December. She is such a sweetheart! Anyone who prays may want to say a prayer for Kimmy, who just lost her mother without warning
Maybe even go by her site and leave her a kind word on her Doodle-board, I know she'd appreciate it. I've also been discovering a few new blogs I like to visit--don't be surprised to see my reads list change when I redo the look here. I don't want to hurt any feelings, but I'm going to keep the list kinda small, so I can actually get around to visiting all the blogs listed as a read at least once a week or more! ;) LOL! Plus, I finally decided YES, I will be password-protecting my lil' blog, so be looking for me to post a link soon to request the UN/PW. Anyone is welcome to visit, I just like the idea of knowing who has been reading my thoughts & feelings =). Back to friends, I surely have missed my Wendi, Malisa, and Melly......we used to chat all the time on AIM, and keep in touch via email, but (mostly my fault here) we've drifted apart, and don't talk much anymore! *sniffle* I miss you girls, and still love ya to pieces....I just SUCK(excuse my French) at keeping up lately, with emails and my site and everything, mainly 'cause time online has dwindled to next-to-nothing, and sometimes I just don't have any desire to be on the computer, KWIM? Sorry, even in real life, I've never been good at friendships, and had very few close friends growing up...heck, I don't even have contact with anyone from school anymore. That's sad. I'm destined to be a loner :(.......good thing I've got my family!
*gasp* My "Just a quickie" has run too long, so until the next time, keep smiling!
