My Happenings

Wow, finally back to the land of blog! YAY!
Things have been topsy-turvy around here
lately, so thought I'd grab a minute to update
ya on the happenings in the Hansard household!

Last week, my throat had been bothering me, and
by Thursday, I could hardly swallow or talk...plus
felt like I had the mother of all colds!

Now, if being sick weren't bad enough, let me give you
some detail about Thursday morning! As soon as I
pulled out of the driveway to get Leah to school, I
noticed the car was acting up...kinda sluggish. Well,
sure enough, I had no sooner dropped her off at school
and tried driving up the small hill behind the school when
*BAM!* my transmission went out!!! For the 2nd time in
less than a year!

So here I sit, unable to get off the road, 8am traffic
all around me, and due to the nature of my problem, even
the few people kind enough to stop and ask if I need help
couldn't do anything....I called both my dad & Joe to come
"rescue" me & Camryn! They both show up pretty fast, but
the towtruck?!?! TWO HOURSand 3 phone calls later,
they finally arrive! I was pi$$ed! Camryn was restless,hungry,
and needed a diaper change, and I was irritable. They wound
up not charging for the tow(good thing), but the bad news was
not to end here. No....the man who fixed our transmission last
year,we had a hard time contacting, but managed to get someone
at his house(his wife?) and she said, very hesitantly, with lots of
umms, and pauses:"He got out of that line of work not too long ago"!
Naturally, I was

....we didn't have another
$1,800.00 to sink into this piece of ___
(which, BTW, is a FORD Taurus)
Long story short, we finally caught him at his house
that night, and he said if we could produce the invoice
showing it had been less than 12 months, he'd still honor
the warranty on it! *WHEW* The guy's working 60 hrs...
a week at his new job, though, so said it would be a week
or more before he could be finished. Luckily for us, my parents
have a 3rd vehicle, and loaned us one.....I could just see me
and the girls getting out every morning at 5am to get Joe
to work! UGH!

Well, Friday I laid around all day, felt like total poo! Then
Saturday, Leah had a soccer game, which I drug myself to
(and managed to get sunburned at!) Guess I shouldn't have
hollered my encouragment so much, 'cause my voice went
out again! heehee! As we leave the game(around 1:50pm),
the coach's daughter(and Leah's team-mate) says "Oh, you're
invited to my party at 4 today!" Happy, happy, joy, joy! *sigh*
So we dash home to grab lunch, change Leah's clothes, and
print out a card to stick some cash in ;), then we're off to
'Kids Play', and indoor party haven with this HUGE inflated
bouncey/slide thingy.....the kids had a BLAST, and I had to make
small talk with strangers for a few hours, all the while my voice
coming & going, and all I wanted to do was lay down & sleep.

Fast-forward to Sunday......Leah has another soccer game,
this one at 1:30, and at this one she scored a goal!

Afterward Joe's parents, who came up from
Acworth to see the game, stayed to visit. When they left, we
headed out to DQ for icecream, which melted on the way home
(I was wearing more than I ate)

There were some bright spots in my otherwise horrid weekend
though.....I managed to buy some super-cute premades for the
shoppe, and was gifted with many by dear sweet ladies! And while
browsing Wendi's new venture, ~~Clothesline Cuties~~,
I found some darling outfits for Camryn, so had to order those too!
Ahhh, the happiness retail therapy brings! ROFLMBO!

I really have to go now, poor Cam has been begging to play
UNO for the longest now, and will have to get ready for work
before you know it! Speaking of which, will save it for another
day, but come June, I will have a new job, and be free of Arbys!
Yippee!!!!

ain't it cute?(And isn't she the sweetest?!?)

God has blessed me with some wonderful friends, and supportive
family. I have some to be down about, much MUCH to be grateful
for! Life is good!

Well, I'm sure many of you wondered why I haven't replied
to emails and/or been online lately....there's a number of
reasons, mainly I honestly just don't spend much time online
anymore, and between updating my site, sending out adoptions,
and replying to emails, there's not much time left for the fun
stuff, like chatting with my buds :(
To make things worse, I got yet another virus!
You'd think I'd learn my lesson by now...
same as before, I had done a search on Google.com, this
time for a font, and when I clicked on a link to a site,
I got infected! Had to run virus scan 3 times, but finally
got the $^&*)@! thing off my hard drive! Have gotten some
fishy looking emails lately, too, that I'm sure contained a
virus of some kind, but I deleted them immediately without
opening them......kinda takes the fun out of being on the
computer,KWIM? *sigh*

Ok, I feel like a giant LOSER for admitting this, but
I am jealous......sheesh, I shouldn't even write about
this here, as I'd die of embarrassment if this dear sweet
lady read my silly rantings, but here goes: Remember me
telling you all about our family friend(Mrs.S), who took
Leah under her wing & treats her like a granddaughter?
Well, at times, like tonight, Leah makes it painfully obvious
she'd rather spend time with her than at home.
She already spent 9 hours with Mrs.S today, and was supposed
to come home this evening, but she called begging to spend the
night there, even tho we were going to have a "girls nite in",
watching movies, staying up late, and she was gonna sleep in
mommy's bed tonight(Joe works 3rd). I know that's just ridiculous
of me to feel that way, I really am grateful she has Mrs. S in
her life, I just sometimes feel like she likes her better than me.
That's foolish, I know, but it's how I feel.

K, 'nuff of my pity-party! I managed to hop over to my
B.O.B.'s blog tonight(*Waves at Wendi*), and decided to

but that's ok with me, just glad to have visitors & friends! =))

fine too?Absolutely! It's there for me to vent, and for
my out of town friends & family to see what I've been up
to......making blog friends is just a bonus! ;)
Do you ever have days where you wonder why you
even have a blog to begin with?Yes, only because I
feel guilty for not posting more often!
Have you ever had an unkind tag by an anonymous
person?No, knock on wood!
Do you feel pressured to blog every night so as you
don't loose your blog friends?Nope....true friends
will love ya no matter how often you blog, or how boring
your journal is! ROFL!
How often do you visit your reads?See above :(
Do you feel you at least visit your whole list of
reads once a week?Sadly, no....will try my best to tho!
Have you ever added someone to your reads because
you didn't want to hurt there feelings?Nope
Do you feel your list of reads is out of control and
there is no way you would have enough time to visit
them all on a regular basis?Out of control? Naw, not
really, but there are reads listed that I visit more often
than others, which makes me think in all fairness I should
take some of the less frequently visited ones off my list(?)
Do you feel you are a good blog friend or do you
think you can be a better blog friend?For sure, I could
be a better blog buddy....Nobody's perfect.

Well, think I'll shuffle thru a week's worth of emails, reply
to a few dozen & see if any of my buddies are around to chat.

Hi Gals! Thought you might like an update
of the whole missing situation! As I feared, it still
hasn't turned up...chances are it's in someone's pocket :-\but God has continued to bless me & show me there is always
hope. Besides my parents loaning me the money, my mom told
a dear family friend of what happened, and she showed up at
our doorstep with a $60 check, which she insisted we keep.
She said she & her husband like to take an active roll in helping
when they pray for someone, and for us to consider this a love
offering from them. This couple has been such a blessing in our
lives....they adore Leah & Camryn, and treat them as tho they were
their grandchildren......Leah regularly visits with them.
Also, there are so many of you angels on the internet who have
gifted me lately with adoptions, sigtags, and adoptables for my
shoppe that I just feel blessed!! I won't name names for fear
of leaving someone out, but HUGE & hugs to those of you
who've been so thoughtful. I've many adoptions yet to add to my
gifts page, so please forgive me if it's seemed I haven't received
them or that it looks as if I'm ungrateful......I treasure each & every
email, adoption, and gift, but even more so, treasure the friends
I've made along the way!
Just today Paula wrote to tell me my humble home had been picked
as her Site of the Month! What a sweet suprise!

Well, it will be time to get Leah from school in a tiny bit,
so gonna run for now....hope to squeeze in a nap since this
weather is makine me soooo sleepy! LOL! Thanks for all your
sweet tags & emails, wishing me well with the money mishap.

with just one, but the scents I prefer are Pantene, Pert Plus
or this one I'm using now from Avon ;)
2. Favorite Make-Up Brand?Again, no favs...use Avon,
Maybelline,Cover Girl or Revlon
3. Come on, spill it, what do your pit's smell like?Like
baby-powder fresh(Sauve deodorant)
4. Favorite Perfume?Hmmm, either Rare Pearls from
Avon, or Cucumber-Melon body spray(Bath&Bodyworks)
5. Favorite Candle Scent?Wow, I am wishy-washy!
Love any cinnamon-apple variation; vanilla sugar;plumeria;
fruit salad(yep, have a candle like that!)
